Liam Johnson decided to do an apprenticeship to gain the skills employers are looking for.
The 17-year-old Property Maintenance Apprentice for Accord said: “I felt that an apprenticeship would give me more experience than simply studying for a course, and give me skills I will always have to fall back on.
“The apprenticeship has been really good. I’m learning something new every day, from how to lay floors to how to paint walls and change light bulbs.
“My friends are still at school and are jealous that I am now earning a wage!”
