Just six months after starting the Level 3 technical certificate in health and social care, 17-year-old Eboney Edwards has gained an apprenticeship at a new pre-school nursery and she couldn’t be happier!
Eboney said: “It feels brilliant to have a job and to be able to move on from full-time education. I’ll still be coming to college one day-a-week to complete my qualification but I’ll be gaining work experience and getting paid at the same time.
“I felt confident in the interview as I was able to use what I’ve learnt on my course to answer some of the questions and I felt proud when I was offered the job.
“Teachers will always tell you that stopping on at school is the only way to be successful but it’s important to expand your ideas as there are lots of other options available to get you into your chosen career.”
