If you want to work in the drinks dispense industry, the UK’s first drinks dispense technician apprenticeship is a great way to get on the career ladder.
Developed in partnership with brewers and drinks manufacturers across the country, the structured programme will teach you the skills and knowledge you need to be able to install, maintain and repair a range of complex drinks dispensing equipment in pubs, clubs, bars, hotels, theatres, leisure centres and stadiums.
The programme covers a wide range of tasks and you will gain skills in plumbing, electrics, refrigeration, gas pressure systems and pipework, as well as fault finding, problem solving, customer service, training, product quality, time and workload management, health and safety, and industry codes of practice.
During the training, you will combine working for the employer with studying towards occupational standards set by employers and will attend training at college on a block release basis every month.
Training is delivered by the college at local brewery giant Marston’s Plc’s Talent Academy in Wolverhampton and is delivered by a leader in drinks dispense installation.
What’s more, throughout your training you will be supported by college staff who will work closely with your employer to ensure that the skills you are learning are what is required by their business and that you will achieve your full potential and career aspirations.
And, did you know that apprenticeships aren’t just for new staff? if you’re already employed in the industry and want to improve your skills and boost your promotion prospects you can benefit from apprenticeship training too – just ask your employer to email employerenquiries@wolvcoll.ac.uk and a member of the team will contact them to discuss your training further.
