Would you like to work on a construction site?
Take your first step towards a career as a bricklayer in the construction industry with this very practical qualification.
You will learn in our dedicated Construction Innovation Centre at the Wellington Road campus and develop a range of practical skills, including brickwork to damp proof course level, corner construction and basic garden walling.
You will also study some practical elements, including health and safety and the principles of building set out by City and Guilds, the qualifacation awarding body.
On successful completion of the course you will be able to progress to the industry-recognised Level 2 diploma in bricklaying or other qualifications in groudworks or plant training and gain your CSCS card, required to work on a construction site.
Also, if you earn less than £30,000 per year and aged 19 or over, you could study this course for FREE!

Our Construction Innovation Centre has fully-equipped, industry-standard workshops with the same tools that you will use on a construction site and you will be taught by tutors who have worked in the industry themselves so you will benefit from their first-hand experience and commitment to suporting you to achieving your qualifiaction.
