Students at City of Wolverhampton College are switching to online learning while the college is closed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Tutors are uploading study resources and information to the college’s online learning platforms and students are being asked to log-in and carry on learning until they have completed all required elements of their relevant courseStudents will also have access to tutors via email and telephone for any additional support they may need.

Malcolm Cowgill, principal of the college, said: “This is an unprecedented situation and we are asking our students to be mindful of the need to continue learning even though they will not be attending college.

I am extremely proud of the way tutors and non-teaching staff are adapting to this new way of working and supporting our students to achieve the qualifications that they have been working so hard for since September.

Students who are required to submit portfolios of work and evidence as part of their course will be given guidance on how this should be done, and those who were due to sit exams in the summer will be notified of the next steps in due course.”
