Regular gamer Lewis Terry enrolled for the two-year Level 3 diploma in games design straight after leaving school and, having completed it progressed to the HND in creative media production (games development).
Lewis, aged 20, said: “I really like it here! It’s a relaxed atmosphere and smaller class sizes mean it’s more personal and you have more contact with tutors, which wouldn’t be the case at university.
“As part of the course I did work experience placements at Codemasters and Flix Interactive and was involved in testing games and helping to resolve issues I identified.
“College is definitely better than school – because people choose to be here they want to work and because you’re in a class with like-minded people you can share ideas and learn from each other too.”
