18-year-old Zee Salih is on his way to achieving his ambition of becoming a teacher after being offered a place at university to study for a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies.
Zee, who is studying for the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, said: “Throughout the course the tutors encouraged us to apply to university and pushed us to work to a standard that will be expected on a degree course.
“I really wanted to go to university so got my head down and worked hard to achieve the required level of UCAS points and it has paid off as I’ve achieved high grades in all my assignments and been offered places at two universities.
“When I got the offers I thought ‘Wow, I’ve got what I wanted!’ and I’ve proved to myself, my tutors and my family that I can achieve what I want to be.”
